In October of 2012, Dejana consolidated two operations in Smithfield, RI, and opened a new home for Dejana Truck of New England. This 45,000 square foot facility provides a full range of services including a 3,000 square foot truck equipment showroom as well as manufacturing, sales, parts and service personnel. The facility features 26 manufacturing bays, 3 state-of-the-art paint spray booths and is on 19 acres.
The layout of the facility has also been streamlined to improve production flow and maximize efficiency. Truck bodies like dumps, landscapers, and utilities, essentially come in one end and drive out the other as a completed commercial vehicles. There are also entire sections dedicated to the installation and repair of snow plow equipment, commercial van interiors, and a large fleet and municipal projects.
The Smithfield Facility is a certified bailment pool for Ford, Chevy, GMC, and Ram. It is also NTEA/MVP and Ford QVM Certified.
